I first picked up a camera when I was around seven years old and instantly fell in love with documenting everything around me. From photographing my friends to setting up backdrops to photograph my stuffed animals, this would later lead me to study at the prestigious art school: NSCAD University, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
My love for storytelling and sharing my experiences has always been present, but it officially ignited when I went on a photo trip to Guatemala in 2003. My passion became more dominant after I travelled to Vietnam and Argentina in 2010. People have always asked me what I specialize in with my photography and I can never answer with one specific focus. I am a Portrait and Travel Photographer. Portraits, which include my fashion work and travel, are part of my storytelling. Shooting fashion editorials has always been something I love because it involves creating a character and telling a story using the setting (usually various locations within a city) and, of course, the clothing. As of 2021, I started to add aerial imagery when I bought my first drone and have been experimenting with drone work, both scenery and a type of portraiture.
When I am not shooting, I am exploring nature with my dog, Winnie; cooking meals or creating new ice cream flavours for family and friends; and, in the colder months, searching for an amazing lake or blue hole to cold dip in.
I was born in Nova Scotia and have lived in Montreal, Toronto and Paris. I am currently working as a freelance photographer in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA.
