Last month, to celebrate its 40th annual Night of Stars gala, Fashion Group International (FGI) pulled out all stops and transformed The Plaza Hotel in Manhattan into a dazzling scene of glamour and style. This year’s event welcomed top stars, designers, executives, tastemakers and cultural icons, gathering to raise funds for scholarships and business programming.

The stylish evening began with fanfare, as Kate Hudson, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Coco Rocha, Reed Krakoff and Delphine Krakoff, Elie Tahari, Zac Posen, Fern Mallis, Jean Shafiroff, Dennis Basso, Dixie D’Amelio, Heidi D’Amelio, Marc D’Amelio and others made their way down the Red Carpet.

An exclusive cocktail reception followed, hosted by designer and recent FGI Rising Star Eveningwear award winner Cyril Verdavainne, surrounded by an array of models. Other notable attendees included Lynda Lopez, Amina Vassa, Ginna Le Vine and CNBC’s Rebecca Quick.

The evening continued with an elegant dinner and an awards ceremony, honouring an impressive roster of trailblazers. FGI President & CEO Maryanne Grisz remarked: “On this 40th anniversary of FGI Night of Stars, I am so honoured to be a part of this landmark year, recognizing icons who are incredible visionaries, and have made a positive impact in the industry. The event is our largest fundraiser, and we are grateful for the amazing community of support.” Alyce Panico, Patrick Valeo and Elie Tahari also made speeches and the night came to an end with a special toast to 40 years of Night of Stars by Dennis Basso.
