Casie Stewart.

Tell us about your first blog post. 2005. A cartoon I drew with Microsoft Paint. It was something silly, like me trying to catch the subway. I like to draw.

How did your blogger career grow? Before 2008 no one knew about my blog, I didn’t talk about it. When I decided to take it seriously and blog every day, I hibernated for the winter. I wanted people to know me by spring: I worked on the design, started writing about events and products, fashion and make-up. Then I got a job at MuchMusic, where I ran the social media for a year. I also went to the New Zealand Fashion Week, my first international. Then I left MuchMusic. It’s been a year that I’ve been on my own. I’m doing speaking, hosting events and have a lot of big brands that want to work with me.

Who is your fashion icon? Twiggy, Agyness Deyn, Gala Gonzalez.

Describe your style in one word. Queen West.

What is your favourite store anywhere in the world? Vibes on Hall St. at Bondi Beach in Austrralia. In Toronto, CTS vintage store on Queen W. and Spadina. And Ponsonby Road in Auckland, New Zealand.

Who is your favourite Canadian designer? Joe Fresh. I like his clothes and have them in my wardrobe. It’s affordable and everyone can wear it, and you can still be really stylish. I can put something from Joe with something from Holt and I’ll be styling. Also, I love Nella Bella handbags.

If you were reborn who would you be? Kate Middleton. My middle name is Diana, after Princess Dianna.

What is the craziest fashion-related thing you’ve ever done? When I was asked to do New Zealand Fashion Week I didn’t know what it meant, but I flew first class, had a driver, an assistant and first row seats at every show. That was pretty crazy as an experience. I got the opportunity to go somewhere really far and really expensive, and be treated like royalty. I didn’t want to leave.

If you had to wear one thing for a whole year what would it be? A short black dress that buttons up, with pockets and cap sleeves. Like The Uniform Project.

What are your favourite 10 items in your closet? BACK-OFF by Jeffrey Campbel – Solestruck black/silver shoes,, Muubaa at Holt Renfrew black lambskin jacket , H&M leopard hat, American Apparel black scoop back dress , Secret black tights, Rouge Ara (Dior) lipstick, Nella Bella bag, Motorola DEFY Android, Joe Fresh black liquid eyeliner, vintage pashmina scarf.
