Taikan collaborates with Pleasures

September 30, 2019

New collections are always exciting, especially when they are by Canadian designers! The latest TAIKAN EVERYTHING collaboration with PLEASURES is now officially released.

Taikan, conceptualized in Vancouver Canada, was conceived from the desire for inspired, purpose-driven product, with an emphasis on aspirational silhouettes. Bringing the sensibility of timeless design, they outfit their consumer in classic rooted styles, with the aesthetic of tomorrow.

Pleasures was founded in 2015 by Alex James, and is a Los Angeles-based streetwear brand. Born and bred from punk, metal and grunge beginnings, the brand naturally feeds from controversy. Since Pleasures initial launch, they have collaborating with the likes of Grateful Dead, Big Pun, Guess, Adidas, Crocs, Dr. Martins and now, Taikan.

Staying true to their values and purpose, this is the first collaborative launch for the two brands. The three-piece collection consists of one holster vest/bag and two long-sleeve graphic tees (available in purple or black).

The Bender Holster is a perfect intersection of fashion, function and coolness. It’s dual-breasted design is ideal for the modern world and allows you to keep all the necessary life elements (phone, wallet, keys, gum, etc) closer to your body. The Bender Holster is made of a premium polymesh construction, which makes for a durable, yet simplistic design that is a true homage to the Pleasures forward thinking on skater culture and functionality.

This item retails for USD $70.

The Bender L/S shirt is the apparel accompaniment to this capsule collection. Made of 100% Ring Spun Cotton and designed to provide a relaxed fit, the Bender L/S Shirt is available in Purple and Black with custom Taikan x Pleasures dual print design on both the front and back of the shirt.

This item is available in SM to 2XL sizing. It retails for USD $58.

This limited collection is available at select global stockists, taikaneverything.com and pleasuresnow.com.
