One of the perfume leaders in the world – Guerlain Parfumeur – announced yesterday that Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie will be the new icon behind its latest fragrance for women: Mon Guerlain.

The brand, which has been in operation since the early 19th century, announced that its master perfumer Thierry Wasser turned to Jolie as his muse, to draw inspiration for a scent that would express “the notes of a woman.” The fragrance will embody the choices, emotions and dreams of modern femininity.

The partnership with Jolie was agreed upon in December 2015, while she was directing her film First They Killed My Father in Cambodia. Part of the reason for the partnership is also Jolie’s childhood memories of her mother’s love for Guerlain powder.

Jolie will donate her entire earnings from the campaign to charity.

The fragrance will be available in March 2017.
