Not only did attendees at the Fashion Weekend Syndey come out wearing their best, the fashion lovers also had a chance to experience a runway show, all while shopping and picking up some of their favourite designer looks.

A four-day extravaganza, which took place from May 15 to 18, this year’s designs on the Canon Runway at Fashion Weekend included: Bec & Bridge, AKIN by Ginger & Smart, Winston Wolfe, Ixiah, Nicola Finetti, Jamie Ashkar, Maurie & Eve, Christensen Copenhagen, By Johnny and Talulah.

Our very own Rebekah Schott, Australia’s newest resident and expat, was there to capture the designs as they came down the runway, and picked some of her favourites.

Runway looks ranged from cooler weather wear (turtlenecks and jackets), to slinky and sexy dresses with cut-outs, to the sporty and more laid back looks for which Australia is known.

With over 100 Australian designers selling anything from shoes and jewelry to frocks, attendees could also visit a beauty bar for the latest in nail, hair and make-up fashions.

Truly, a girl’s day (or weekend) out!
