Before the glitz and glamour of the Met Gala red carpet, VIPs and media gathered at the Metropolitan Museum of Art launch of the China: Through the Looking Glass exhibition.

Located in the Chinese Galleries and the Anna Wintour Costume Center, the exhibit explores the impact of Chinese aesthetics on North American and Western cultures through an array of high fashion looks and art pieces. It is the culmination of the collaboration between The Costume Institute and the Department of Asian Art.
