Safe, stylish & comfortable: on the road with Chevrolet Blazer EV

October 7, 2024

We recently took our first trip as a family of four. As we went on a cottage adventure with the kids, my husband and I were looking for a car that would be meet several criteria: a spacious and comfortable vehicle, a stylish and beautiful one, and one that has great storage capacity since traveling with kids means bringing half of your house with you (if you are a parent reading this, you know that’s how it goes).

Enter the all-new 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV. This was our first experience with an electric vehicle, and we absolutely loved it. We found that charging stations were easy to locate. We also discovered that some of them charged the car faster, so that is one tip I would offer our readers: try to plan ahead to see which stations have the speedier charging options. This way, you can be very efficient with your time. Plus, the display inside the car shows exactly how many percent is the vehicle charged at any given time.

For example, park the car and plug it in while you are out at a restaurant for a meal. By doing so, you won’t need to account for additional time to charge the vehicle – it can all happen while you are doing something else! If you are a parent, a busy business person or both: this efficiency is excellent.

With over 27,000 public chargers across Canada, switching your family from gas to electric can be seamless and with the Blazer EV’s 521 km range, 11-inch diagonal driver information screen (hello, one button audio control) and built-in Google compatibility, you might even volunteer to drive extra carpool shifts!

There were many other reasons we fell in love with the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV (starting price: $60,333):

  • The interior and exterior were gorgeous. We really loved the bold and sleek look of the red SUV.
  • When the vehicle is moving at the speed of under 25 mph, it makes a pedestrian safety signal that sounds like soothing music. It sounds fantastic and is a very cool feature.
  • The rear view mirror is actually a camera, which is very helpful when driving.
  • As mentioned previously, this mid-size SUV has an 11-inch diagonal driver information screen, with an option to have it at 17.7 inches.
  • For the kids, the individual fan controls in the back seat are excellent and extra handy when it’s too hot or too cold outside.

The other advantages of the Blazer EV include:

  • A standard Chevrolet Safety Assist, a collection of six advanced safety features that are designed to keep your family, pedestrians and other drivers safe. The Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning feature keeps you in your lane. If you drift, it corrects your course and warns you. If the car ahead stops suddenly, the Automatic Emergency Braking system can brake for you. For a family, this means extra peace of mind, especially when children are on board.
  • Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist can automatically steer, brake and shift gears for you into those tight parking spots – ideal for when kids are tired, and the grocery store parking lot is packed!
  • The standard Blazer EV LT features 19-inch wheels, which offer better stability and a smoother ride, perfect for family road trips.
  • Family-friendly can be bold: the Blazer EV is built with multiple trims, letting you choose the performance and style that best matches your needs.
  • The Blazer EV offers exterior finishes from classic black to spicy red hot and interior options ranging from sporty to futuristic, based on trim level.

We loved experiencing Chevrolet Blazer EV and even took extended family members for a ride. This is, truly, a one-of-a-kind vehicle that you have to experience for yourself!
