The Swedish sports fashion brand Björn Borg launched its fall/winter 2015 collection yesterday in collaboration with its first fitness iPhone app Sprinter.
The free app allows users to match with new workout buddies and improve performance by reaching goals together. The brand says this is an easy mission if three simple steps are followed: Sweat, Swipe and Socialize.
By using the app, Björn Borg decided to combine fashion with sports and technology. Interestingly, Sprinter has taken inspiration from the dating app Tinder, fine-tuning core functionalities adapted for an active lifestyle to match people with potential workout buddies. It also connects to Instagram and Facebook to make it easy for users to share pictures and workout videos, in addition to tracking their current location to help find a workout buddy nearby.
The collection itself focuses on high-performance fabrics, such as Thermo-Pro, therefore, resisting heat loss and retaining insulation from cold and wind.
Sprinter is free to download and available on the company’s website and the Apple’s App Store.
