JARELZHANG’s FW25-26 collection, Misty Realm, unfolded like a dream where silhouettes dissolved into fog and textures felt weightless. Set in the futuristic, immersive space of Milan’s Porta della Pace, the show was an experience that blurred the lines between reality and illusion: “an exploration of uncertainty, perception and the beauty of the intangible”. If you enjoy walks in the mist, this collection will leave you in a daze.
Layered, voluminous fabrics carry the weight of the unknown. Wool, sheer organza and diaphanous mesh move with a quiet unpredictability, as if shaped by unseen currents. The interplay of textures, dense and weightless, opaque and translucent, aims at mirroring the way fog distorts perception. With reflections flickering across glossy surfaces, the models’ movements are like mirages in the shifting light, embodying the transient nature of the collection itself.
The palette plays with contrast and the colours of the sky, from stormy horizons to blazing sunsets. Smoky greys and spectral whites fade into deep nocturnal blues, with amber red cutting through like a distant glow in the mist. The collection even showcased some playful yellow polka dots. Some pieces felt almost untethered, dissolving into their surroundings, while others held a sharp, sculptural presence, reinforcing the collection’s theme of playing between solidity and air.
The collection’s beauty lies not in just what is seen, but also in what is felt. It did a fabulous job of capturing the feeling of endless possibilities. Misty Realm is not just an invitation to embrace the unknown, but to also thrive in it. We beckon you to browse the gallery and step into the mist.
