Celebrities continue to flood to Toronto for the Toronto International Film Festival. Several films have already premiered and downtown remains the hot spot for Red Carpets.

In the meantime, some of the hottest parties are happening every night at the Soho House Toronto, most of which are held at the Grey Goose Late Lounge.

A few of the fashion trends we have noticed so far: red, black and white are a popular choice by celebrity actresses, with the focus on classic cuts and elegant, minimalistic pieces. Lace and silk numbers take centrestage. Most women are wearing dresses in true Hollywood style and opt for 3/4 or floor-hugging gowns.

Meanwhile, gents are in tuxes, or formal jackets paired with jeans. They mostly go for black pieces, punctuated with light blue and grey.

Here is a summary of some movies shown at TIFF, as well as photos of certain celebrities at the Grey Goose Lounge who have attended the socials for each of these movies respectively.

Anna Karenina

This is the third collaboration of Academy Award®-nominee Keira Knightley with acclaimed director Joe Wright, following the award-winning box office successes Pride & Prejudice and Atonement. A bold, theatrical new vision of the epic love story, this film is adapted by Academy Award winner Tom Stoppard (Shakespeare in Love) from Leo Tolstoy’s timeless novel. The story powerfully explores the capacity for love that surges through the human heart. As Anna (Knightley) questions her happiness and marriage, change comes to surround her. The Master

A striking portrait of drifters and seekers in post World War II America, Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master unfolds the journey of a Naval veteran (Joaquin Phoenix), who arrives home from war unsettled and uncertain of his future, until he is tantalized by The Cause and its charismatic leader (Philip Seymour Hoffman). Starring Amy Adams, Joaquin Phoenix, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Laura Dern.

Silver Linings Playbook

An intense, loving, emotional and funny family story from The Fighter’s director, David O. Russell. Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence find themselves partners in a secret arrangement to rebuild their broken lives. Robert De Niro yearns to get closer to his son (Cooper), as he tries to keep the family afloat with his compulsive bookmaking. Jacki Weaver and Chris Tucker co-star.

Imogene

Imogene is the story of a moderately successful New York playwright who stages a fake suicide attempt in order to win back her ex-boyfriend — only to end up being forced into the custody of her gambling-addicted mother. Starring Annette Bening, Matt Dillon, Darren Criss and Kristen Wiig.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a modern classic that captures the dizzying highs and crushing lows of growing up. The film is a moving tale of love, loss, fear, hope and the unforgettable friends who help us through life. Starring Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, Ezra Miller, Nina Dobrev, Melanie Lynskey, Paul Rudd and Dylan McDermott.
