The NBA All-Star Weekend has officially arrived.

While athletes (and non-athletes) are tied up at the games, a number of celebrities from the music industry have also flown in for different VIP parties.

The key fashion-focused event was held in downtown last night by GQ Magazine, in collaboration with Saks Fifth Avenue which is unveiling two stores in Toronto later this month.

VIP guests included GQ’s Editor-in-Chief Jim Nelson, hip-hop singer Future, GQ’s Creative Director Jim Moore, Saks Fifth Avenue’s President Mark Metrick and Regional Vice-President Stephane Ledoux, Super Bowl’s MVP Von Miller, and basketball players Andre Drummond, Danillo Gallinari, James Harden, JJ Redick and Charlie Villanueva.

The 2nd Floor Events’ space was decorated with candles, NBA-photo backdrops and a GQ step-and-repeat. A fun activation on-site featured a basketball net, where guests could practice free throws, while a small display alongside registered their score.

It was a very relaxed but buzzing atmosphere, where attendees sipped on cocktails, mingled and snapped photos to the beats of DJ Erik Tonnesen.
