Alexander Berardi and Jessica Jensen collaborate at the LG Fashion Week, Spring 2011 collection.

Jessica Jensen. Canadian. Has worked with various international brands, including Elle, Calvin Klein and Michael Kors. Launched her line in Spring/Summer 2008, with a focus on luxury materials, Italian leathers, hand-crafted workmanship and meticulous detail.

Alexander Berardi. American. Has worked for Kenneth Cole. Generated headlines around the world with his chic, classic collections that are elegant, yet edgy. Each line has a theme of Hollywood charisma mixed with the charm of New England luxury.

So what happens when you pair up these talented designers who are not afraid to put a little twist on their work?

Jessica Jensen proudly collaborated with Alexander Berardi on a limited-edition handbag line featured on Tuesday, alongside a selection of his Spring/Summer 2011 women’s ready-to-wear collection.

The show, titled A Tribe Called Hamptons, was inspired by Jean-Luc Godard’s film Breathless.

Silk and chiffon dominated the runway. Models floated down the catwalk in their sandals like nymphs.

Berardi focused on neutral colours, while Jensen’s work was a perfect contrast of bright shades and big bows.

A bee sway dress was paired up with a bridgemapton day tote; a midnight blue satin chiffon wrap top and Giselle sequin genie pant were accompanied by an Emilie flower coin purse; a lexi tuxedo blazer, a sleeveless wrap top and libby khaki pleated shorts were complemented by a Sunday clutch.

The focus was on loose, comfortable, breathable clothing that added a touch of tribal and ethnic fusion, while also bringing a very strong Carrie Bradshaw-at-the-Hamptons feel.

The collection was photographed at the Heritage Court, Exhibition Place, by Stephenson Price.
