The first two sessions of the inaugural Institute of Positive Fashion Forum, a thought leadership event designed to galvanize fashion industry into action, have been confirmed. They will take place ahead of COP26. The day-long event will take place digitally on Thursday, June 10, 2021 and address key topics facing the fashion industry.
The two sessions, which will be available exclusively to ticket holders, are as follows:
- June Sarpong, Director of Creative Diversity at BBC, in conversation with Virgil Abloh, Founder and Creative Director of Off-White and Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton Mens. The two will discuss how to ensure greater diversity and access within the fashion industry. They will also explore how representation can help inspire the next generation of talent.
- The just transition: Exploring the business case for change. This panel discussion will feature Cyrill Gutsch, Founder Parley for the Oceans, Laura Balmond, Make Fashion Circular Lead, Ellen MacArthur Foundation and Nicolaj Reffstrup, Founder Ganni. The discussion will centre around circularity and what it really means in practice. It will also explore how brands drive circular practices at scale. Greatest opportunities to ensure ways new circular models are fully integrated across businesses will also be discussed.
