I remember it vividly. I was 13-years-old and my parents had just gotten me a laptop: my first ever. It was a big deal back then. Not everyone had a computer and not everyone could boast having one of the latest models. I can still feel the excitement I experienced every time I opened the lid of my HP laptop. It was like I was transformed into some other dimension of technological wonder.
Fast forward almost 30 years later and halfway across the world, I am once again sitting here with one of the latest laptop models from HP. A lot has changed: the machines are lighter in weight, faster in speed and can do so much more. But the excitement I feel when I touch HP products is still the same.
This long-time connection to HP is the reason why I was thrilled to collaborate with the brand on this latest review. When they sent me HP Envy x360, I spent a significant amount of time checking out the laptop and all of its capabilities.
One of the highlights for me is that this laptop is “Designed by creators for creators.” What does that mean? It’s a sleek, touchscreen device with a handy stylus. It’s also a lightweight item that can stand up like an easel and be positioned in a variety of ways. HP Envy lets you sketch, explore and share endless ideas on Concepts’ infinite canvas. I think it’s very neat that you can draw with liquid, vector brushes or organize sketches and notes. If you are a creative person like me, this is definitely a huge advantage.
As a working Mom of two, I have a very intense career, which means that I am constantly on the go. I am also very involved in my kids’ lives and so my schedule is insane, all day, every day. In this hybrid world, having a lightweight, compact laptop that I can pop into my tote and have available wherever I am is extremely useful and, frankly, necessary.
Some other key specifications of Envy x360 include a 16:10 screen ratio, Intel® Core™ processor, 4K high-definition display and lightning-fast connectivity. The 360-degree hinge allows users to quickly swith from laptop to tablet, so I can use it in laptop mode for work, flip it around for sketching or taking notes on the go, or put it in tent mode for watching videos while waiting for appointments (or let my kid watch a cartoon while I’m making dinner or cleaning!).
And — the colours. They are so important to me. As an Editor-in-Chief, I review hundreds of images every day, so I especially appreciate that with up to 4K2 resolution, the visuals on this machine are very crisp and clear. The optional OLED display3 offers deeper, richer colours and colour-calibration. In terms of other logistics, the built-in AI processing power allows for enhanced battery life and seamless multitasking.
As a sustainability conscious person, I also like that the HP Envy x360 is made with recycled materials. In fact, since 2017, HP has launched over 300 new products around the world containing ocean-bound plastic. I like it when brands are responsible with their production and this makes me an even stronger supporter of HP.
If you are looking for an elegant, easy-to-transport laptop that will work well and support your creativity in every way, then HP Envy x360 is definitely ideal for you. By the way, prepare to tell others all about it if you bring it to a cafe for work, as you’ll be surrounded by people asking questions. Its name truly lives up to the hype!
