Many years ago, my sweet late Grandma got me my first Miu Miu coat and I have been a Miu Miu girl ever since.
Earlier this week, I attended the exclusive VIP preview of the brand’s boutique pop-up in Holt Renfrew at Yorkdale Mall in Toronto. The day after, the pop-up opened to the public, and will run from Sept.22 to Sept.25, 2016.
It’s a fun concept. Visitors can shop items from the fall/winter 2016 ready-to-wear collection, including purses, blouses, shoes, jewelry, coats and various outerwear. In addition, they can purchase the first-ever Miu Miu fragrance.
The brand is also presenting its CustoMIUzation project where it offers clients the opportunity to personalize bags in denim with a large selection of characteristically playful patches. Think bright stars, colourful symbols and a variety of labels. Approximately a dozen of different CustoMIUzation patches are available to choose from and a dedicated artisan, flown in from Italy, is in attendance to heat seal patches to each bag. No two bags will be the same. To make the project even more exclusive, the total number of bags available for CustoMIUzation is strictly limited.
I enjoyed browsing around and left the event with a slightly different CustoMIUzation piece: my very own Miu Miu fragrance with my initials on the bottle’s cap.
Below are my favourite images from the event to give you a glimpse of what it looks like and to encourage you to attend before it wraps up!
