Checking out Beautylicious 2014 with the Spa at Four Seasons

October 30, 2014

You may recall that last year I participated in the Beautylicious event in Toronto for the first time. Back then, I tried two things I have never done before: eyelash extensions and black nail polish. It was a fun and memorable experience.

This year, I participated again and since I seem to be in a constant hair-makeover-phase, I came back to the Four Seasons Hotel for an appointment with one of their hairstylists: Christine Genga.

This is the sixth annual edition of Beautylicious, that is held in the trendy and luxurious neighbourhood of Bloor-Yorkville. The only event of its kind in Canada, it’s currently in full swing, and will run until Sunday, Nov.2. Beautylicious has over 60 participating businesses, and offers packages for men and women in four categories: hair, spa, skin, and health and wellness.

So back to the makeover. Having recently coloured my hair again, I decided to go for a cut. We were technically limited with options, because I’m currently trying to grow my hair back to being waist-long. Luckily for me, Christine was quite creative and suggested many different options. In fact, we ended up trying 3 different looks! There was a wavy look, an updo and my favourite fully-straight style.

The Spa at Four Seasons is a place I always enjoy coming back to. My lifestyle is very hectic, but as soon as I arrive here, I am immediately immersed in full relaxation. Chillout tunes gently play in the background, while the staff always has a smile on their face and a positive attitude.

All appointments are planned in such a way that I never feel like I’m in a room so full of people that I can’t move or keep hearing all of their conversations. Even on very busy days, which are frequent here, the layout of the floor allows for every guest to be able to have some personal space, without having to be too close to others. It’s a perfect location to be if you are craving some “me time.” I know I will be back again soon.
