Oribe

As a long-tme user of Oribe, I am always thrilled to try their new releases or recommend the brand to friends and family. For our latest beauty guide, I took several items for a test drive and, as always, was pleasantly surprised with the results! 

First on my list was the beautifully packaged Mirror Rinse Glass Hair Treatment. As the weather undergoes constant changes, not just between seasons but sometimes several times a week, this product is an excellent addition for your haircare routine, and will protect and nourish your hair. It offers a deeply hydrating experience and will illuminate your hair, leaving it very soft and glossy. I have very thick hair, and what I love about Oribe products is how weightless they are. This quality always makes them stand out from their competitors. The Mirror Rinse will smooth the cuticle and condition the hair, providing a mirror-like finish (hence, the name of the product). Also, get ready for excellent detangling results!

The second item on the list was the Bright Blonde Radiance and Repair Treatment. This product is formulated with a blend of rich oils and a lavender extract, meaning hair is left repaired, nourished and ultra-soft. It also increases elasticity, softens dry hair, treats existing damage and helps prevent future damage. And, it now features 13x more toning pigment! Since I am not blonde, I offered this product to one of my colleagues and we discussed the results afterwards. She said she enjoyed the silkiness of the hair and the brightening effect that the treatment resulted in, adding that it worked splendidly for both her blonde and grey hair. 

This time around, I also ventured outside of the regular Oribe haircare review and tried out their hand creams. As someone who associates the brand with exceptional haircare that is used at some of the world’s top salons, I was very curious to test out their nourishing creams. Specifically, I tried the Desertland Nourishing Hand Crème and the Valley of Flowers Nourishing Hand Crème. Both of these products have several stand out factors: they have stylish and elegant packaging, they hydrate and repair dry skin, they are well-known and celebrated for their moisturizing properties, and their non-greasy formula means that the product absorbs instantly (which is a strong advantage with the cold weather ahead, when you’ll need to wear gloves or mittens!). 

Both creams feature a blend of oils and shea butter, so they are truly luxurious and will make your hands feel like you just came out of a spa. Finally, the scent of both is absolutely fabulous. Desertland is more aromatic green and has the key notes of: at the top —  juniper berry, fresh lavender and sunstruck pine; middle — desert wildflowers and angelica root; and drydown — texas cedarwood, vetiver and sandalwood. Meanwhile, the Valley of Flowers is more woody floral and has the key notes of: at the top —  sparkling pomelo, italian bergamot and blue violet; middle — bulgarian rose, white peony and jasmine petals; and drydown — warm amber, sandalwood and creamy musk. It’s basically like a bouquet of the most beautiful flowers. Now imagine how amazing that will feel when you apply it to your skin! Enjoy.

Vivier

In a world saturated with skincare options, finding a brand that combines cutting-edge science and luxurious results can feel like searching for a unicorn. Vivier stands out from the crowd as a skincare powerhouse. Their products are crafted right here in Canada, under stringent pharmaceutical conditions. That’s right—this isn’t just skincare, it’s science-backed, vegan, and hypoallergenic goodness designed to suit even the most sensitive of skin types. I love knowing I’m applying something meticulously tested, high-quality, and made with a purpose.

Let’s talk packaging for a second. I have to say, Vivier nails that perfect mix of beautiful design, sleek minimalism and serious functionality. Each bottle features airless technology—fancy, right? But it’s not just for show. The internal piston pushes the product upwards as you use it, making sure every last drop counts. No more shaking or cutting open tubes in frustration! I have not tested this yet, but Vivier products are designed to be leak-proof, which would make them ideal for travel.

First up, let’s talk about one of Vivier’s star products — the HEXAM Gentle Cleanser. Now, if you’re someone who hates that tight, dry feeling after cleansing, this one’s for you. It’s a gel-based cleanser packed with Hexamidine, which sounds super scientific because it is. Hexamidine is an antimicrobial and antibacterial agent that not only purifies your pores but also leaves your skin soft, not stripped. It melts away makeup (even the stubborn stuff), excess oil, and grime, leaving your face feeling like it had a refreshing dip in a cool, clear lake.

This cleanser is gentle enough for sensitive, oily or acne-prone skin, and works wonders as the first step in your routine — whether it’s morning or night.

Next up is Vivier’s C E Peptides Serum, the ultimate multi-tasking powerhouse. If you’re on a mission to tackle fine lines, dullness and all those little signs of aging, this is the serum your skin has been dreaming of. It contains 10% Vitamin C, Vitamin E and three proprietary peptides, all working together to brighten, protect and firm your skin. The result? A plump, glowing complexion that practically says, “I just got a facial,” every time you use it. I love that feeling.

What’s more, it smells delicious and layers like a dream. Whether you wear it under your makeup or use it solo, this serum leaves your skin looking smooth, hydrated and oh-so-radiant.

If your skin is feeling parched and in need of a hydration boost, you’re going to fall in love with the Daily Age-Defying Moisturizer. As a long-time admirer of Elizabeth Arden products, I’ve been using their cosmetics and creams for over a decade — and each time they have consistently exceeded my expectations. Founded by Elizabeth Arden, a pioneer in the beauty industry, the brand boasts a rich history of innovation and quality. Recently, I had the pleasure of trying two standout products from the PREVAGE® collection, which target signs of aging and environmental damage: the PREVAGE® Multi-Restorative Soft Cream and the PREVAGE® City Smart Broad SPF 50 Hydrating Shield.

I also cannot speak highly enough of the PREVAGE® City Smart Broad SPF 50 Hydrating Shield  — it’s simply outstanding! I am genuinely impressed by its feather-light feel; it feels as though I’m wearing nothing at all. Despite its thicker texture, it remains incredibly lightweight. As a tinted mineral sunscreen, it not only offers excellent protection but also helps to even out my skin tone. The unique tint complements my fair complexion beautifully, imparting a lovely glow. This lotion has quickly become a staple in my makeup bag. I also enjoy using it on its own for a radiant look when I skip foundation. I certainly notice the difference when I run out!

For coloured hair or those of us living in regions with hard water, the Metal Detox System is a game changer.
