Anticipation builds: Joseph Tassoni’s upcoming SS/FW’26 immersive fashion show

September 2, 2025

The anticipation is palpable in Toronto’s fashion circles. After hosting one of the season’s most memorable soirées, the Joseph Tassoni VIP party 2025, the designer is once again preparing to take centre stage.

On Friday, September 19, Joseph Tassoni will unveil his latest collection at the stunning Arcadia Earth: and it’s an event that promises to push boundaries, ignite conversation and reaffirm his reputation as one of Canada’s most innovative fashion voices.

A designer who redefines Canadian luxury

Tassoni has long been celebrated for his meticulous craftsmanship and bold vision. His recent momentum highlights both the theatricality of high fashion and the authenticity at the heart of his brand. With every touchpoint, the designer turns a showcase into a story, and a night out into a moment worth remembering.

His upcoming runway show is no exception. Set in the heart of downtown Toronto, it will offer guests not only an exclusive first look at the new collection, but an immersive experience that blends artistry, architecture and atmosphere. The Arcadia Earth setting, renowned for its sleek lines and panoramic city views, provides a striking canvas for Tassoni’s evolving narrative.

What guests can expect

While details remain closely guarded, insiders hint at a fusion of precision tailoring and fluid textures, with an emphasis on movement and versatility.

Guests can also look forward to a heightened sensory experience. From lighting to carefully curated soundtracks, every element will be calibrated to amplify the emotional arc of the garments. It’s this holistic approach that has become a Tassoni signature, transforming a traditional runway into an unforgettable cultural moment.

“This is my third independent runway show, and each year it’s been about highlighting my latest collection, celebrating local businesses, bringing the community together, and raising awareness for mental health and inclusivity,” Tassoni told exclusively to FAJO.

“What’s significant this year is the fusion of technology and fashion. This isn’t just a showpiece – it’s about humanizing the world of technology, exploring how tech advances are impacting fashion, and connecting it to climate change, sustainability and the garments themselves.

“Our hospitality partner Le Germain Hotels will support the afterparty, offering an experience that embodies Canadian luxury, elegance and attention to detail. Their commitment to exceptional service perfectly complements the high-end, curated experience of the runway show at Arcadia Earth. Arcadia Earth, our immersive venue, adds a layer of sustainability and innovation to the event. Guests will be transported into a multisensory world that highlights environmental awareness, climate action and sustainable practices – all perfectly aligned with the ethos of this year’s collection.

“We’re also proud to work with TPH, one of Canada’s leading printing houses, which has been named one of North America’s most forest-friendly printers. Using sustainable fabrics and techniques, highlighting climate-conscious choices, and continuing to integrate technology into the experience, every piece and every detail tells a story about innovation, sustainability, and human connection.

“I’m especially grateful to our partners who believe in me and my vision: Rina DiRisio, Buckland, Danyliw & Mann, Ankaa Lab, Pulse Law, Birks, Redken, Aldo, FAJO Magazine, Evolved Entertainment, Opening Night Flowers, August Media, my incredible team, and more – for helping make this show possible.”

Building on the momentum

This show arrives at a pivotal time for the designer. With renewed national attention, Tassoni’s leadership in Canadian luxury fashion is undeniable. His commitment to producing locally, advancing responsible practices and giving back to the community, underscores his role not only as a creator, but as a changemaker.

Moreover, his expanding circle – long-time clients, industry insiders, and new admirers discovering his work through press and social media – ensures every presentation becomes both a celebration and a statement. Attending a Tassoni show is more than witnessing fashion: it’s joining a movement that champions creativity, inclusivity and innovation.

“The immersive experience, venue and attention to detail all complement the collection, which I’m incredibly proud of,” says Tassoni. “It’s exciting to share not just the clothing, but the entire world we’ve built around the brand.

“I’m currently the only fashion designer in Ontario putting on an independent runway show of this scale. Coming from a Made in Canada brand perspective, I’m presenting fashion to the public while running a business, creating an experience that is globally relevant and deeply rooted in Canadian talent and craftsmanship.”

Collaboration with FAJO

“FAJO is proud to support Joseph Tassoni once again this year, as the returning Official Media Partner,” says Hannah Yakobi, FAJO’s Editor-in-Chief. “There are no designers in Canada who do luxury like Joseph: his work is truly exceptional. I’ve attended runway shows and fashion weeks on several continents, and I’m thrilled to see how Joseph brings Canadian fashion to the next level, year after year.”

“I am honored to partner with FAJO again this year, an iconic publication that has long set the standard for celebrating Canadian creativity and elevating talent,” says Tassoni. “Over the years, FAJO has been more than a media partner — they’ve been a true champion of our vision, helping us share the story of the Joseph Tassoni show, from innovation and sustainability to community impact, with an audience that appreciates artistry, excellence, and the craft behind every detail.”

Unique partnerships this year

“What excites us most about the upcoming show is the way it will bring together creativity, community, and culture under one roof,” explains Jean‑Philip Dupré, General Manager of Le Germain Hotel Toronto Mercer. “Toronto has such a dynamic energy, and this event will be a chance to celebrate that while creating an unforgettable experience for everyone who attends. For us at Le Germain, the show is not just about fashion on the runway, but also about the atmosphere surrounding it, the conversations, the networking, the sense of discovery. We are also excited about the opportunity to showcase our property as a hub for creativity.”

“Activating our space for something completely new is very exciting: presenting a fashion show inside both of our projection-mapping rooms is truly next-level electrifying,” says Craig Perlmutter, President of Arcadia Earth. “And doing this with a brand that shares a mission aligned with ours is the icing on the cake. Arcadia Earth sparks awareness and inspires change by encouraging more conscious consumer choices and Joseph’s work shows that fashion can be sustainable, local and high quality. Together, we both celebrate creativity and prove that sustainability is not only necessary, but truly fashionable in every sense of the word.”

“The Joseph Tassoni fashion show is a story of fashion as theatre, but with meaning and purpose that he is so passionate about,” adds Rina DiRisio, who is Tassoni’s Red Carpet partner and has been his show’s partner since 2023. “What makes his shows unforgettable is the element of surprise, the forward-focused vision, and the experience he brings to his audience. I love how Joseph not only elevates fashion but also strengthens his connection with community leaders, creating moments where style, culture and philanthropy all come together.”

“What excites me most about this show is seeing how technology and fashion can join forces to create something truly unique and magical,” says Shirley Buckland, President of Buckland, who is Tassoni’s VIP Lounge partner and who has also supported him since his first runway presentation. “This show, with its use of technology to create an immersive experience, is a perfect reflection of making the impossible possible. I anticipate the attendees will be treated to a visual feast for the eyes and spark curiosity and imagination.”

“We, at TPH, are excited to support Joseph’s show and continue showcasing how print can elevate storytelling in the fashion industry,” adds Rita Nalbandian, TPH. “It’s a great opportunity to celebrate Canadian creativity and entrepreneurship: something we both deeply value.”

A night to remember

As the date approaches, invitations are quickly becoming some of the most coveted in the city and the tickets are almost sold out. This has, indeed, been a consistently sold out show for the last few years. With its blend of glamour, artistry and cultural resonance, the evening is poised to mark another milestone in Tassoni’s story.

If past showcases are any indication, attendees will leave inspired, energized and rethinking their definitions of style. For Joseph Tassoni, fashion isn’t just clothing: it’s an experience that lingers long after the lights fade.

The fabric draped like water, held structure where needed, caught light, moved with intention. Corsets that felt like sculptural armor, gowns that seemed woven with stardust, coats that draped like a herald’s cloak in motion. Tassoni has always walked that line between dramatic and wearable, between statement and subtlety, but tonight, in that immersive setting, every stitch, seam, and silhouette felt elevated to mythic proportions.
