November is almost here, and it’s time to start packing away our summer wardrobe. Although it can be a bit depressing, the bag and shoe trends this fall are hot enough to make us forget that the temperature is dropping and the days are getting shorter.

With some help from expert Jessica Bianchi, representative for Joanel Inc. and Geox Shoes, we’ve put together the Top 5 Shoe and Bag Trends that you’ll be dying to try out.

1. Tribal totes

It’s no secret that the tribal influence has been big this year. These eye-catching designs add a perfect kick to anyone’s closet. Tribal patterns look fantastic when paired with something basic, such as dark jeans or a fitted shirt. We also suggest pairing tribal prints with neutral, comfortable shoes that match the tote’s laid-back style.

2. Snake/alligator skin bags

A style like this is always a fun addition to your wardrobe, and an easy way to inject some flair into your style, especially if you’ve been a bit bored with it lately. Pairing this pattern with a chunkier leather heel will make a bold, take-charge statement.

3. Leather Backpacks

Not only are backpacks convenient and easy to carry, but this fall they are very much “in” and have a stylish twist. Leather backpacks create a blend of casual and fashionable flavour. Try pairing them with a patent leather boot to achieve the look.

4. Clutches

Handy bags are a must-have for a night out. This fall, clutches in dark colours are all the rage: black, brown and deep reds are particularly popular. And why not look for one with a statement-making clasp, inspired by the late, great Alexander McQueen?

Clutches can dress up any outfit, be it jeans or an evening gown, and they always look fantastic when paired with a great pair of heels.

5.  Structured Bags

Professional and versatile, structured bags are also a must-have this fall. They make any outfit look crisp and clean. Since many collections this season are very simple and tailored, pair a structured bag with knee-high leather boots to achieve that stylish and impressive look.  Great for the office or a night out with friends!
