Renaissance Red: unique skincare with “buraslin”

April 16, 2014

After seeing and selling a variety of skincare products on the Shopping Channel, Carolanne Fysh decided to create her own. She wanted to make something that was affordable, but also natural and organic, and still had ingredients that were scientifically proven to work.

Fysh made sure her line was completely hypo-allergenic and fragrance-free, because she knew that many women are careful about what they are putting on their skin. The owner says Renaissance Red is the only skincare line in the world to use an organic antioxidant complex known as buraslin, formed from the Finnish lingonberry, the Canadian raspberry and the Central American buriti berry.

Lingonberries are full of fatty acids, which allow them to speed up the process of cell renewal. Raspberries have the highest level of antioxidants and can, therefore, repair and whiten skin. And buriti berries, from the rainforests in Central America, can soothe, repair and protect collagen by minimizing fine lines and visible wrinkles.

The name Renaissance Red suggests rebirth for powerful women. Red is used because it is a colour of importance and luxury. Fysh wanted her “proudly Canadian” line to empower women and make them feel good about their skin.

The line aims to invigorate, hydrate and illuminate skin with wholesome and natural products.

It includes a hydrating facial cleanser, brightening facial serum, rejuvenating eye refresh, day protection and nourishing night repair. All items can be purchased separately or as a set.
