Korhani
Korhani’s opening night show took me on a magic carpet ride around the world, without ever leaving my seat. This Carpet Couture collection, as I like to call it, showcased some of fall/winter 2012’s hottest trends: fur and bold prints. I especially loved their interpretation of the Japanese Kimono, the Russian-inspired fur hat and their British Invasion Punk looks. Who knew rugs can be so wearable; and if that wasn’t enough, some models walked down the runway with real piglets! This was by far one of my favourite collections this season.

Travis Taddeo
Speaking of fur, Travis Taddeo carried this trend through his collection, along with plenty of leather. The luxurious touches of fur collars and sleeves were nicely juxtaposed against the leather outfits. Très rocker chic – it’s obvious his vision was fit for a strong, yet sexy, woman. The sheer detailing gave this sleek and edgy line a soft and feminine touch, even a little femme fatale feel. The pop of red monochromatic outfits amongst the mostly black-and-white collection gave the line a perfect fiery kick. It’s quite clear that Taddeo’s muse was meant to run the world.
