#FAJOsocial 2014: The Summer Party

July 20, 2014

For the third year in a row, FAJO recently hosted its annual #FAJOsocial party — an event dubbed as one of the most popular fashion parties in Toronto.

Held at the Arta Gallery in Toronto’s historic Distillery District, this was the largest event organized by FAJO to-date, with close to 200 guests and 37 participating brands, sponsors and partners.

As in previous years, the Social brought together many VIPs and celebrities, as well as Canadian and international emerging designers, entrepreneurs, socialites and brands from across Canada, with part of the proceeds going to charity.

This year, the Silent Auction at the Social was raising funds for the Covenant House, Canada’s largest shelter for homeless youth, with 100 per cent of auction proceeds going to charity.

Guests were treated to delicious drinks and hors d’oeuvres by Cupcake Vineyards, Woody’s and Sonia’s Kitchen, while they did some much-needed summer shopping with 16 vendors and sponsors on-site.

Some of the entertainment highlights included:

  • An interactive photo booth, courtesy of Photo Booth TO, where all guests were able to pose and have printouts of their photos throughout the night.
  • Musical entertainment provided by internationally renowned Elena, who played chillout tunes on her violin and harp, to complement the elegant theme of the evening.
  • A fortune-telling session, provided by the renowned AstroCoach, who had a line-up of excited guests waiting to have their fortune read all night!

Each guest received a gift bag, valued at $180 and there were also two lucky prize winners, with Courtney Houston winning the Best Dressed Prize courtesy of Lancôme (valued at $300) and Andrea Ayers-Esplen winning the huge basket of beauty items courtesy of 1Milk2Sugars (valued at $1,000).

See you at the next party!
