There is a still a slight chill in the air. The leaves have almost all turned amber. You walk briskly, zipping up your sweater to fight the morning chill.
Even with winter around the corner, there is still time to get ready for fall! With this in mind, we have put together a list of top trends to help you make a fabulous transition from day to night, no matter the occasion this season.
1- Boots, boots and more boots
Boots are definitely “in” right now. Expertly paired with tailored dress pants or skinny pants, the ankle boot looks great in the boardroom and on a night out. Another top trend? Over-the-knee boots. Worn with leggings, a tunic and long sweater, you will be cozy and warm while out running errands or hopping on the subway. This trend can definitely serve you well until the first snow.
2- Midi with a modern twist
From skirts to dresses, the midi length is still going strong. Both stylish and modest, the length is a great transition piece. Pair your midi skirt with kitten heels and a flowy top, tucked in with a bright belt to accentuate your waist, and you will be rocking the vintage vibe like it’s nobody’s business.
3- Staying warm with style
With the arrival of fall, images of cozy socks, warm sweaters and steaming hot cups of tea come to mind. Or better yet, coats with statement collars, fur lined hoods and checkered patterns with belted waists. Comfort is definitely the core concept for fall 2017. Warm, bright sweaters and loose fits are the silhouettes that are to die for—perfect for reading a book or catching a movie. And a stylish coat is sure to make an impact no matter what room you enter or the occasion!
4- Rock a vintage vibe with an urban flair
Looking for a great statement piece for a date night or a night out with the girls? Jumpsuits are no longer a thing of the past, but have made comebacks this year. Throw on a pair of heels and a statement necklace for a night out, or grab a pair of flats, a cardigan and a cute bracelet before heading out for Sunday brunch. Whatever the need, have fun with it!
5- Accessories are the cherry on top
Want to add a final touch to your ensemble? Pair it with a large hat, or a matching pair of bright red gloves and scarf—the “in” colour this year. You can even add drama with a stylish pair of sunglasses—just because it’s fall, doesn’t mean you have to let your sunglasses’ game fall short.
