I like Rachel Sin, because I met her, I wore her clothes, and I get her style. She’s not trying too hard and getting it right every time.

Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong from Greta Constantine. Fresh femmine styles that are accessible. These are clothes that a lot of women can wear and wear easily. Beautiful pieces!

I LOVE Zoran Dobric’s prints. I always look at them thinking “I don’t want to wear that, I want to frame that” How do you think that would go over with him?

Chloe comme Parris – love those girls and the incredible creativity behind each collection they put down the runway every year. They play with both romanticism and androgyny, while maintaining their staple ‘street’ vibe, producing clothing that can transition one into so many different roles.
    True artistic minds!

My favorite Canadian Designer is Joeffer Caoc. He graduated from The School of Fashion at Ryerson University (where I am studying now!) and he has somehow found the perfect balance between high fashion and practicality. He always included diversity and I am a huge believer in that as well.

I’m a big fan of Travis Taddeo. Every collection of his has a great direction and is executed beautifully. I love how he incorporates a variety of fabrics and materials into his collections: a few seasons ago, he did a lot with feathers and silk, while more recently he’s been working with fur and jersey. I love wearing his clothes not only because I’m supporting a gifted Canadian designer, but because he produces great collections season after season.

It’s so hard to pick just one, especially since there are so many great designers under the Homegrown roof, but if I had to pick just one I’d go with Travis Taddeo I’ve been eyeing a few pieces of his in the store lately and this would be the perfect chance to scoop up a piece or two for my summer closet!

I’d love a closet filled with just homegrown fashion! These are all fantastic designers – yay Canada! My everyday favourite; however, would have to be Dagg&Stacey. I am a huge fan of the brand. I love how these two lovely ladies have transformed beautiful fabrics into casual, elegant pieces that transition effortlessly from day to night.
