September 2012 marked the 10-year anniversary of the HUDSON brand.
A decade of design proves why denim is, in fact, timeless. It carries us through places, experiences and moments that are remembered forever and that last a lifetime. This feeling of vintage nostalgia played a major role in the inspiration of HUDSON’s spring/summer 2013 collection.
Fresh colours, colour blocking, juxtaposition of highs and lows of saturated shades, and bold architectural lines carry us forward into the next season, with a nod to all that is vintage and retro. Stone washing and sun-bleached pastels evoke the feeling of past endless summers on South Beach, while maintaining the elegance, glamour and modernity of Miami Deco.
The HUDSON brand has always derived its inspiration from the combination of British cool and L.A. freedom. Youthful rebellion through music and London Heritage inspired the company’s approach on a regular basis.
The irreverence of Punk rock, never being mainstream and always going against the norm, are highlighted through bold prints and heavy distressing for spring/summer 2013. The bold flag print and distressed denim channel the spirit of rock n’ roll, but pair it with the laid back ease of Los Angeles.
The London photo print jean is a tribute to the London nightlife and grassroots atmosphere of this invigorating city.
