East Village

Bohemian cafés, hole-in-the-wall bars and off-beat boutiques — the East Village has character that has been lost on many of the more gentrified neighbourhoods in the city.

The grittiness of the once-epicentre of the punk-rock scene still remains; as does the caliber of live music, poetry slams and art shows. Step into any vintage boutique and you’ll be reminded that the price of being hip isn’t cheap.
