Holiday glamour in Australia: signature facial at The Parlour Room

December 10, 2018

Having recently moved to Clovelly, an area in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, Australia and only 15 minutes from the beach, I was excited to explore local cafes, shops and salons in my neighbourhood. To my delight, I discovered an elegant beauty salon just around the corner from me, called The Parlour Room.

Even more exciting is the fact the salon has recently undergone an extensive renovation and makeover. The luxurious new space features stylish furniture, marble accents, rose-gold metallic finishes and modern art.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by the owner Natalie Papadopoulos who was behind the reception desk: the entire atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the space immediately felt relaxing and inclusive.

Ready to be pampered, I was led upstairs to the elegant suite by my therapist. After filling out an in-depth form and having a brief consultation on my skincare needs (I explained that I have acne-prone combination skin), I received a glorious 60-minute facial, called The Parlour Room Signature Facial.

This treatment focuses on balance and restoration through exfoliation, moisture and massage. The therapist customizes the facial to your skin’s needs, using high-end performing products from Germaine De Capuccini. I was happy to hear that these products are both animal and environmentally friendly, while simultaneously providing advance results.

Following the facial, I was treated to a relaxing hand, foot and scalp massage, and felt extra rejuvenated and relaxed.

This was honestly the best facial I’ve ever had and I could truly notice a difference in my skin. A week later, I’m still glowing and feel more comfortable without makeup.  It’s safe to say I will be a regular at The Parlour Room, and I’m already recommending it to friends and family too!
