Victoria’s Secret fashion show – 5 reasons to watch it

Victoria’s Secret annual fashion show was filmed on Nov. 9 in New York City, and the majority of us will get to see it on television in just over a week. It will air on Nov. 29 at 10 p.m. on CBS.

Here is why you do not want to miss this year’s event:

1. Fashion

Shopaholics: you will get a preview of this year’s Victoria Secret collection. Fashionistas: you will know this season’s colours and designs, and get some ideas for hair styles.

As usual, every Angel wears feathers at some point in the show. There are also colourful skirts, mini-dresses, hats, long socks and sexy boots.

Many times during the evening, the stage changes its colour: it looks like an outdoor rink, then it’s purple, pink, orange. Surprisingly, there is not as much pink as usual this year.

The show this year, once again, features a wide spectrum of colourful lingerie.

2. Music

Music is an inseparable part of fashion. At this year’s show, Maroon 5 and Kanye West take centrestage.

At the last minute, another name was added as well: Nicki Minaj. She will perform a song from her debut platinum-selling album Pink Friday. Minaj was not originally supposed to be part of the show. Cee Lo Green was previously scheduled, but Victoria’s Secret indicated in a press release that he was unable to appear.

3. The Angels

Victoria’s Secret wouldn’t be the same without its Angels. This year’s show includes Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Doutzen Kroes, Candice Swanepoel, Erin Heatherton, Lily Aldridge and Lindsay Ellingson.

4. The Pink Carpet, backstage and more

Victoria’s Secret collection might not be everyone’s cup of tea. That’s why the world’s most celebrated fashion show also includes musical performances, Pink Carpet interviews, model profiles and a behind-the-scenes look.

It’s the equivalent of the Oscars in the fashion world.

5. The Social Media

The event is also going to take over the Twittersphere with the hashtag #VSFashionShow.
