The people you see at fashion week — party goers, journalists, designers, models and publicists — are all perfectly captured in Stylebop‘s tongue in cheek Illustrated Guide to Fashion Month.
The sketches also include characters who, season after season, can be spotted before and after the runway shows, including The Peacock and The Luxurious Spartan. There is even a graphic on How to Appear Disinterested/Aloof When Dressed Like a Victorian Rodeo Clown in Stan Smiths.
The artist responsible for the hilarious and beautiful drawings is Julie Houts, a womenswear designer at J. Crew. Houts is also well-known for her Instagram account @jooleeloren, which is a feed of illustrations cartooning life’s most typical, awkward and relatable moments.
For a limited time, print copies of the guide will accompany Stylebop’s customer orders.
