Combining fashion, music and charity, London-based designer Velvet Johnstone has launched her second collection in collaboration with Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. This time, the label has teamed up with DJ Deanne Oliver-Evans (also known as Blonde Ambition) to create an eye-catching campaign for spring/summer 2013.

The collection features a print inspired by microscopic breast cancer cells, which the designer says embodies “her greatest fear becoming almost beautiful and inspiring.” The three pieces include printed leggings, a modern body-con dress and a silk jersey T-shirt.

Cheryl Stephenson, creator of Velvet Johnstone, has a history of breast cancer in her family, making the partnership with Fashion Targets Breast Cancer even more heartfelt.

As the charity’s ambassador and a fan of Velvet Johnstone, Oliver-Evans will be fronting the campaign and bringing even more awareness to the cause. She has DJ-ed for a variety of high-profile music festivals, including Glastonbury and Bestival, and has previously worked with fashion brands such as Selfridges and Topshop.

The full retail price of each shirt sold and will be donated to Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, and 30 per cent of the sales of dress and leggings will also go to the charity.
