It’s breast cancer awareness month (BCAM) and Toronto-based organization Rethink Breast Cancer has launched their #GIVEACARE collection.
The line features toques, tote bags, hoodies, headache balm and a variety of other skincare and fashion items. Each product is designed for comfort and to meet the unique needs of young women with breast cancer. For instance, the lemon candies mask the metallic taste of chemotherapy.
The product names are refreshingly honest, like the I-Know-This-Hospital-Waiting-Room-Like-The-Back-Of-My hand sanitizer, or the My-Emotions-Are-So-Out-Of-Whack-That-Even-My-Skin-Is-Being-Too sensitive hand cream.
Each purchase is accompanied by a free copy of guidelines designed with information to help young women get the care they need.
In addition to launching their own collection, Rethink Breast Cancer has partnered with major brands, including Aerie, Peace Collective, Visage Cosmetics and others who will donate a portion of their proceeds to breast cancer awareness during BCAM.
