Belgium got a sartorial taste of Montréal in late December, when eight Québec designers presented their creations in the heart of Brussels. The public fashion display, held by Groupe Sensation Mode, included runway shows by DUY, m0851, Mackage, Ève Gravel, Arielle de Pinto, ça va de soi, Marisa Minicucci and Harricana.

The design duo behind Mackage, who have a fashion presence all over North America, were one of the participating brands in the latest Sensation Mode initiative in Belgium.
The showcase was part of a Brussels Louise Association’s annual holiday event, which kicked off on Dec.13 in the stylish Louise district. This year’s festivities commemorated 40 years of friendship between Québec and Belgium, and featured a range of arts and culture exhibits.
The fashion portion of the event was designed and produced by Groupe Sensation Mode with an aim to highlight Montréal as a world-class fashion destination. With two runways in an avant-garde setting and a line-up of leading designers, Québec’s fashion scene was well-represented. Belgian model Amélie Lens, known for Martin Margiella’s H&M campaign, also lent some star power to the show.
In addition to celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Délégation générale du Québec in Brussels, the event highlighted Québec’s designers on an international stage.
