It’s getting hot outside, really hot. And, if you’re like us, finding a pair of sunglasses that are fashionable, practical and durable is a summer must.
This spring, Canada and United Kingdom-based company, Ollie Quinn, launched its inaugural spring/summer 2017 sunglasses’ collection featuring 60 new frames. The line offers a variety of shapes and colours for both men and women, which are all available at the same price point: CAD$145.
Each OQ frame is hand crafted by French designer Sebastian Brusset and his team of in-house product designers. With more than 20 years of experience in the eyewear industry, Brusset is also known for his work at TAG Heuer and Sonia Rykiel.
With the brand’s founders from Australia, Canada and South Africa, OQ strives to maintain its global roots, while adding a local touch. Sourcing talent and materials both internationally and locally, each pair of OQ sunglasses are made using German hinges, paired with Japanese polarized scratch-resistant lenses and cut in Canada.
As of May 2017, OQ has 10 boutiques across Canada, with their latest opening in Vancouver and another opening next month in Leslieville, Toronto. The full collection is available now, both in-person, at OQ shops or online.
