Last Wednesday, global fragrance leader Coty unveiled fῡme scent lounge at the Hudson’s Bay store in Yorkdale Mall in Toronto.
This is a first-of-its-kind luxury retail concept that completely reinvents the fragrance shopping experience, putting a highly interactive, 21st century twist on it.
The store features RFID-enabled technology, immersive touch-screen and innovative scent inhalers that elevate the fragrance shopping experience. Each guest can experience the fragrance in a stylish punctured bottle that amplifies its scent. The bottle is then placed in a special slot next to the interactive screen, which detects which fragrance it is and automatically launches an engaging video that the shopper can interact with. The video provides a number of options, such as information about the base and key notes of the scent, the target demographic for each fragrance, and much more.
fῡme scent lounge was revealed with a VIP launch event, where guests were invited to explore and discover this modern multi-sensory environment to the tunes of celebrity DJ Alexandra Richards.
In attendance were some of Canada’s top beauty content creators, and Coty executives Peggy Elsrode, Senior Vice-President of North American Luxury; Amaury de Vallois, General Manager for Coty Canada; and Diane Sonnenberg, Coty Canada Vice-President Marketing, Luxury.
