Summer is a great season for style experiments, wardrobe changes and accessory revamps. It’s also prime time for taking pictures: be it during travels, at a family outing or an outdoor runway show. That’s why HTC’s latest One M9 model was released at a perfect time.
The phone arrived in Canada in early May and has been making waves across the country ever since. The camera of this new model has been upgraded to 20 MP, equipping HTC BoomSound with the surround quality of Dolby Audio. The phone’s sleek design makes it an excellent accessory for any fashion lover, be their style elegant and classic, or funky and colourful. The size of the phone lets it fit even into a tiny purse, while the screen is large enough to stream video content or view photos in detail.
The expandable microSD provides extra options for storage, which is handy for people working in the fashion industry, who tend to use their phone as not just a phone, but a camera, video camera and external hard drive all in one!

Users can completely personalize the device too, switching between a variety of settings, which can range from Home to Work to Out. The phone is programmed to have the HTC Sense Home experience, which essentially means that its widget automatically pulls together the apps the user tends to use in a given location. For example, the calendar will pop up when the phone recognizes that you are at Work, while the YouTube app may appear when you arrive at Home in the evening.
Last but not least, the photo-taking capabilities on this device will make it handy for any fashion profession, and meet the needs of designers, bloggers or even fashion photographers. The lens cover was created from sapphire crystal, making it more durable and scratch-resistant. The device sports a Dynamic Sensing Engine, helping adjust exposure, which is especially helpful for light-challenged runway environments or quick shots inside a store. One Gallery option helps consolidate all images and videos from various social media into a single place. Another fun feature is called Zoe, which combines photos into a short video, simultaneously helping you add a soundtrack. And, if you don’t want to digitize the experience and prefer to preserve the images in a slightly old-fashioned way, head to the HTC Print Studio, where you can turn the photos into cards or even books. Time to click away with those fashion selfies!
