The holiday season can mean something different to everyone. In December alone, it includes St.Nicholas’ Day, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and New Year’s Eve, among many other celebrations, observances and holidays.
For me, personally, this time of the year means taking a well-deserved break after baking and wrapping presents. Curled up in a blanket with a nice glass of cold eggnog, my fiancé and I listen to George Bailey say how much he loves his family after being visited by Clarence, the Angel Second Class still trying to get his wings. As George runs through the streets, realizing how wonderful his life is, I always smile and remember all my holidays and the best memories from them.
But with the holiday season, also comes the chance to wear festive colours and great outfits. Some people tend to stick to basics, interspersed with gold and silver. Others may go more fantastical: matching outfits with significant others, family and even their pets. We can’t forget the traditional pyjama party either, wearing pyjamas all day to stay comfortable.
It may be classic or contemporary, modern or simple, but it is the small touches that can elevate any outfit. In the pictures below, artists emphasized these small touches into contemporary, fashionable, artistic works. From the traditional to the ultra trendy, we selected a few of our favourites.
We hope you enjoy the gallery and, from all of us at FAJO, we wish you a great and safe holiday season, whether you are spending it at home or somewhere on a beach. Best wishes for the New Year 2016!
