Executives and leaders from the advertising industry gathered at Maison night club on Thursday for the second annual Ad Ball to raise money for a good cause.

Walking into Maison felt like a trip back in time to one of the most beloved decades in the fashion industry.

Filled with over 500 women in silk dresses, with updos and bright red lipstick, and men in pin striped suits and fedoras, the event was the official closing gala of the Toronto Advertising Week 2011.

AdBall, hosted by the Ad Women of Toronto and titled Va Va Vintage, was a flash back to the 40s during the post-war revival, featuring a jam-packed entertainment line-up of dancers who threw their partners in the air and performed some real acrobatic moves that made the guests cheer with excitement.

The ball was a perfect combination of fashion, music and dance.

Event highlights included a fashion show featuring menswear by GotStyle and ladies vintage couture by Preloved, musical performances by up-and-coming jazz sensation Elise LeGrow, a big band and swing dance performances.

Event proceeds went towards the Ad Women of Toronto mentorship program.
