H&M Studio, fall/winter 2015 presentation

August 31, 2015

Swedish fashion giant H&M gathered Toronto media last week to showcase their fall/winter 2015 Studio Collection for women, men and kids. The venue was the most appropriate for such a global company: the CN Tower restaurant “Horizon”.

Women’s collection this season is about sporty futurism and starburst shine, which is executed through such fabrics as wool, lurex, suede, faux fur, nylon and silk. Prevalent colours are pumpkin orange, dark green, camel, grey mélange, off-white, metallics, and black and burgundy. Knitwear, utilitarian outerwear, as well as feminine lurex blouses with a tomboy feel are key pieces of the collection.

For men’s collection, silhouette and fabrics are the focus, with an emphasis on coats, jackets and knitwear, fine and textured, with a colour palette of greys and pale blues inspired by the light of a winter beach.

For kids, H&M offers a mix of street style and playful pieces. Hybrid utility jackets, the fun knits and the sneaker boots are the highlights.

From Sept.10, the Studio collection will be available at the 200 H&M stores worldwide. Kid’s Collection will be available Sept.17 in 140 stores worldwide.
