An award-winning action movie, EVOL, premiered in Ottawa this past weekend.

Hundreds of guests filled the Mayfair Theatre on both nights and the screening on Friday was completely sold out.

EVOL was among the leading films competing in last summer’s Action On Film International Film Festival in Pasadena, California.

It received a whopping nomination in five categories, had a sold-out screening and left the festival with the Audience Choice Award.

This was an achievement that seemed impossible because EVOL was competing with movies that had multi-million dollar budgets. EVOL was produced with only $6,000.
