This was the show that had the highest attendance at the LG Fashion Week. Guests included George Smitherman, Joe Pantalone and some of the most high-profiled Torontonians.
The gala showcased the utmost creativity of Canada’s top designers. This included David Dixon, Linda Lundström, Lovas, Kingi Carpenter for Peach Berserk, Comrags, Fashion Crimes, Adrian Wu, Hoax Couture, Ines di Santo and Izzy Camilleri. Each designer created one or two pieces of clothing that were completely unique. Twenty five designers participated in the show.
Some of the most well-known faces in the Canadian media and entertainment industries came together to model the clothes. This included Arlene Dickinson, Wendy Mesley (and her daughter Kate), Keshia Chanté, Jonathan Cuthill, Dina Pugliese and a very cute red-haired child model Bridget Stuart.
The theme of the show was Dare to Wear Love Gala and this was only the second year that the LG Fashion Week hosts this event. The funds raised at this event support the Stephen Lewis Foundation and help turn the tide against HIV and AIDS in Africa.
Performances by dancer Laurence Lemieux, band Madagascar Slim and singer Shelley Hamilton added a wonderful musical touch to the night that was filled with colour, vigour and variety.
