Rev up your engines: the 2024 Canadian International AutoShow is here!

February 19, 2024

Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines because the hottest event of the year is hitting the streets of Toronto! Get ready to rev up your excitement and fuel your passion for all things automotive as the 2024 Canadian International AutoShow rolls into town, February 16-25, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. This show isn’t just about cars: it’s a celebration of lifestyle, technology and the sheer thrill of the open road. From test rides across multiple brands and models, hockey-themed attractions to win cars, video games as a Formula One driver at the Red Bull fan zone, robots with Hyundai, and guest appearances from the likes of Canadian Motorsport Hall of Famer James Hinchcliffe and an on-stage appearance with celebrity Richard Hammond of Top Gear, we’re zooming with adrenaline.

If you’re a true car aficionado, you won’t want to miss out on the jaw-dropping displays, heart-pounding attractions and exclusive premieres that await you at this year’s AutoShow. With over 650,000 square feet of exhibits spanning both the North and South Buildings of the convention centre, you’ll be immersed in a world of automotive wonder unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before.

Now, buckle up and get ready for a sneak peek at some of the hottest highlights that will have you drooling over your dream ride.

First up, indulge your inner child with a trip down memory lane as Mattel brings the iconic Hot Wheels to life like never before. Picture yourself behind the wheel of a life-sized pink 1957 Chevy Corvette straight out of the Barbie movie. Complete with a retro silhouette and eye-catching pink paint job, this convertible beauty is the epitome of Barbiecore. And that’s not all: you can relive your childhood with life-sized replicas of four classic Hot Wheels cars, including the legendary Deora II and the gravity-defying Loop Coupes.

Plus, don’t miss your chance to snag an exclusive die-cast car, available only at the AutoShow with the purchase of a Hot Wheels at the Toys “R” Us pop-up shop. Are you more of a Lego person? Be sure to checkout the Lego Porsche: the ultimate union of childlike delight and car enthusiast pleasure! Fancy yourself as more of a movie person? Be sure to visit the replica of the Dark Knight trilogy Bat Mobile and snap a photo for the gram.

Looking for the thrill of off-roading adventures? Stellantis brings the excitement off the beaten path to the concrete jungle with their Camp Jeep indoor off-road course. Strap in and hold on tight as you experience the rugged capabilities of legendary Jeep vehicles, including the plug-in hybrid Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe. With five man-made obstacles designed to put these beasts to the test, you’ll be amazed by what these vehicles can conquer without breaking a sweat (riders, on the other hand, may sweat; I sure did that with 30% climb and drop!).

And let’s not forget the electrifying debut of the Tesla Cybertruck, a futuristic marvel that’s as tough as it is sleek. With its ultra-hard stainless steel exoskeleton and shatter-resistant armour glass, this beast is built to handle anything you throw at it. And with a top speed of 209 km/h and a towing capacity that rivals that of an elephant, the Cybertruck is ready to take on the toughest challenges with ease.

The excitement doesn’t stop there. With over 45 automotive brands and 31 vehicle premieres, there’s something for everyone at the AutoShow. From the luxurious elegance of Buick and Cadillac to the raw power of Dodge and Ford, you’ll be surrounded by the latest innovations and trends in the automotive world.

So, what are you waiting for? Grab your tickets, rev your engines and get ready for the ride of a lifetime at the 2024 Canadian International AutoShow. Whether you’re a die-hard gearhead or just looking for a thrilling day out, this is one event you won’t want to miss. See you at the starting line!
