Timeless elegance: step into fall 2017 with GŌBLE

August 17, 2017

It’s mid-August and fall is just around the corner. The whirlwind of film festivals, Red Carpets and fashion weeks begins around the world—and there is only one accessory that is certain to make you stand out but also keep you warm: an elegant scarf.

At FAJO, we love supporting Canadian designers at home and abroad, and one of our favourite brands this season is GŌBLE. Headed by Cindy Goble, an established artistic designer who has been knitting, weaving and marketing accessories under her name for the past five years, every GŌBLE work of art is “a labour of love: artistry of mind, heart and hands”.

The company’s diverse collections feature silk scarves, shawls, hats, headbands and a variety of woven pieces. GŌBLE’s focus is on soft and natural fabrics, and designs that are bound to become statement pieces in your wardrobe that you can bring out season after season, and year after year.

The founder Cindy Goble first learned how to knit and weave at the age of seven with her German/Lithuanian mother Elly who employed it as an art form, and a way to show her love for family and friends. Despite a strong independent streak and her frustration with knitting, Cindy kept returning to the needles and loom as a means of expression. By the age of 15, she had already secured demand from friends, family and beyond for her Bohemian aesthetic designs.

Cindy’s design work evolved from a multi-faceted professional experience, which included retail fashion, modeling, an online perfume business, representing London at the Miss Canada beauty pageant, and a period in real estate that solidified her business acumen.

A designer of many backgrounds and talents, Cindy says that marriage, two children, family and her mother in particular, taught her the value of using the best natural yarns and experimenting with design and technique.

“Thanks to my mother’s guidance and encouragement, as well as that of friends, I am fortunate to work with the finest natural organic materials and provide women with luxurious hand-knit and woven accessories,” she adds.

The company’s target audience is an elegant and sophisticated woman. “My customer is a woman who appreciates the work and fine materials that go into each GŌBLE accessory,” says Cindy. “She is looking for that unique piece that will make a statement, whether she is at work, out on the town or nestled up on the couch at home. We are catering to an educated, mature demographic that values high-quality workmanship.”

As a result, GŌBLE is a Canadian Capsule Collection of artistic accessories with its two latest editions showcasing GŌBLE Canadiana, which celebrates Canada’s 150th year, and GŌBLE Freedom line for fall/winter 2017/2018.

GŌBLE Freedom is in-sync with the larger theatrical shapes of fall, and explosive colour destined to bejewel a woman. The collection offers versatile style-defining accessories that empower women in the boardroom, at a gallery opening, a child’s recital, the opera, on the ski-slopes—and wherever life takes them for business or pleasure, at home or abroad.

Our favourite essentials from the Freedom collection are:

  • GŌBLE Infinity Scarf—a must-have accessory that is perfect for the Canadian climate and fits in beautifully with the fall’s shift of shape and style.
  • Knit Beanie Cap—the versatility of the new pom hat not only features a snap-off pom but is also a stylish companion for all outdoor activities (work or play) of the season.
  • Cashmere Scarf—the comfort and luxury of cashmere. The perfect accessory for suiting and coats, and a perfect companion to the fall/winter wardrobe.

And to make fall shopping extra special, if you buy a silk scarf at a regular price, GŌBLE offers the second one at 25% off! Plus, shipping in Canada and the U.S. is complimentary.

Happy shopping!
