Noon by Noor, fall/winter 2014

March 13, 2014

Considered to be one of the most popular runways shows at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, Noon by Noor attracts many celebrities to its front row. This season was no exception, with Coco Rocha and Nigel Barker among its VIP guests.

A Bahrain-based womenswear label, the brand was founded in 2008 by designers Shaikha Noor Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Al Khalifa. Cousins and friends since childhood, they studied fashion design in the United States and, after graduating, returned to Bahrain to bring their vision to life.

The design duo combines Middle Eastern and Western influences that result in creative melanges of soft fabrics, statement pieces and plenty of feminine chic. For fall/winter 2014, they signal the return of pastel colours, intricate embellishments and oversized coats.

A perfect addition to The Art Issue, we feature Noon by Noor’s latest runway show this month, focusing on its most artistic details and our favourite catwalk fragments.
