New York City in September has become synonymous with fashion.
Joining in the festivities, for a fifth year in a row, was the Nolcha Fashion Week, a prestigious and award-winning four-day fashion event, running alongside the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
Nolcha is renowned for hosting vibrant runway shows, eco-accessory exhibitions, fashion business seminars and networking events. It has firmly established itself as a solid and reputable platform for showcasing designers from around the world. Italy, USA, UK, Brazil, South Korea, Russia and China are just some of the countries where participants come from.
Nolcha kicked off with an invitation-only Bloggers Brunch on Sept. 10, a networking event where bloggers, organizers and select media were able to interact with each other and the designers in a relaxed setting.
The San Rocco restaurant located at 39 West 24th St. provided the location, as well as the three-course meal. Don Q Rum, the drinks sponsor of the week, treated the bloggers with yummy mojitos.
Several designers attended the brumch, including Elizabeth Kosich (Elizabeth Kosich New York), William Watson (William Watson) and Meghan Sebold (Afia).
Kosich spoke to us about her collection to be showcased the following Monday, promising it to be colourful with an art deco feel and a retro use of turbans.
She also said that the statement bracelet that she wore during brunch will be seen in her opening look.
All attendees received swag bags filled with artificial nails and eyelashes from Kiss, as well as a variety of beauty products, including the signature body wash by Vitabath.
