Originally from a city on the Black Sea — Odessa in Ukraine — I’ve been living in Toronto for the last three years, where I have studied fashion coordination and styling, and also received a Masters Degree in Fashion.
When I was 18 years old, my friends and I launched the first street-style online publication in Odessa, called IMOD, which transitioned into a web magazine about fashion and culture in the city. Before moving to Canada, I also worked for the largest print magazine in the city, where I had my own column about the most interesting and passionate collectors.
By far, one of the most unbelievable experiences and highlights of my life was dancing alongside Madonna at the Grand Opening of Hard Candy Fitness in Toronto. I still can’t believe this happened. Interning at FAJO before transitioning to be a contributor, also provided me with fascinating opportunities, including meeting and greeting Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark.
Travelling is my ultimate favourite activity, either from one neighborhood to another, or all the way to Australia. My hobbies include scrapbooking and collecting Hard Rock Café pins. Pop culture and films are also my biggest interests. And I enjoy an intellectual approach to fashion. My curiosity makes me explore things to the core, and in the future I hope to write books about fashion and culture.
