Yves Saint Laurent colouring book launched in Canada

May 19, 2016

With the rising popularity of colouring books for adults and children alike — to ease stress or create a small token of art — Arsenal Pulp Press recently launched a small publication that is perfect for fashion lovers, called Yves Saint Laurent Coloring Book.

The book explores the dynamic, fanciful creations of iconic fashion designer, who headed the House of Dior at the age of 21, before launching his own design house at 25.

The book’s line drawings for colouring are based on many of his original sketches that were created over the years.

The breadth and versatility of Saint Laurent’s creations are strongly reflected in his designs, inspired by harlequins and the Carnival of Venice, Pop Art and Mondrian, and the cultures of Asia, Africa and beyond. Colourists will have much breadth and versatility to design creations of their own, with the accompaniment of full-colour photos of the dresses for reference.

The book is produced in conjunction with the Fondation Pierre Berge – Yves Saint Laurent, dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of the House of Yves Saint Laurent.

The books is available in stores across Canada and online.
