Last week, Prophecy Skincare officially launched its revolutionary Prophecy Cream in Canada. The product claims to be the first and only topical cream that is proven to effectively permeate your skin with hyaluronic acid.

This acid is a naturally occurring polymer molecule that is most abundant in the skin and joints. It’s a huge macromolecule, renowned for its remarkable moisture-holding capability: 1 gram of hyaluronic acid molecule can hold one thousand times its weight in water. Hyaluronic acid is also a key factor of many natural processes in the human body, and has numerous physiological benefits, such as tissue hydration, anti-oxidation, volumizing the extra-cellular matrix of the skin, assisting in wound healing and serving as a lubricant for the joints.

Until now, the anti-aging powerhouse hyaluronic acid could only effectively penetrate the skin when injected because the hyaluronic acid molecule is too large to diffuse through the skin barrier. Prophecy Cream’s micronization process separates the hyaluronic acid molecule into smaller sections of micronized molecules that are easily absorbed deep into the layers of the epidermis. Once absorbed, micronized hyaluronic acid molecules bind with 1000 times their weight in water, acting as an inflated cushion and supporting tissue structures that have lost volume over time—ultimately restoring youthful, bouncy skin.

A team of scientists at Bar-Ilan University in Israel spent 7 years to develop and perfect the Prophecy Cream. The product is manufactured by Hava Zingboim Cosmeticals, a leading skincare company that has been in business for over 25 years and boasts over 150 paramedical skincare products in its portfolio.

Katie Rietta, application specialist and regional manager at Derma Spark Products—the company that brought Prophecy Cream to Canada—says that they specialize in bringing very high end, state-of-the-art medical aesthetic equipment, such as collagen products and microneedling. However, the reason why Derma Spark brought this particular product to Canada is because the company is very science-based, and their team considers Prophecy Cream to be more of a technology than a beauty cream. “Normally, we needle hyaluron into the skin with our devices,” says Rietta, “whereas here, it’s a revolutionary method of applying hyaluron onto your face. We lose hyaluron very rapidly as we age, so adding it helps to improve skin elasticity and appearance.”

Results of the cream can be seen very quickly, with significant changes observed in the first month of use.

Dr. Diane Wong, owner of Glow Medi Spa, that was recently voted as Canada’s best medi spa by the Canadian Spa & Wellness Awards, uses the cream at her medi spa on a regular basis. The product is aimed to be part of the regular skincare routine, and should be applied onto cleansed, dry skin in the morning and in the evening, for maximum penetration and absorption. Consistent application results in firmer, smoother and more radiant skin, as well as fewer wrinkles and better elasticity, due to the cream’s moisture-retaining and anti-oxidant properties. In addition, Prophecy Cream is formulated without dyes, parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and sodium-chloride. It is also cruelty-free.
