This season’s “refined edge” trend involves a fine balance between polished looks and design innovation. Combining the spring 2012 must-have pieces from Rachel Sin and Gardé Del Avante collections, FAJO Magazine‘s latest photoshoot packs a powerhouse punch.

Known for impeccable tailoring and a keen sense of architectural lines, Toronto-based designer Rachel Sin consistently delivers timeless, yet modern womenswear. From the crisp linen suit to her signature cage back dress in white, the pieces chosen from her spring 2012 collection are no exception.

Gardé Del Avante’s urban tribal jewelry makes a bold statement of its own, while also complementing the silver and structural elements of the garments. From chunky mixed-metal necklaces to shoulder-grazing earrings, the Toronto label served up warrior-worthy baubles that artfully merge elegance and strength.
