Happy 15th: celebrating NKPR’s crystal anniversary

June 16, 2017

It was elegant, trendy and very fun — last week, public relations agency NKPR threw a large party to celebrate its 15th anniversary in Toronto.

Held at the owner Natasha Koifman’s private residence, the celebration welcomed several hundred VIP guests from all over Canada, with some travelling from abroad. This was a very well-dressed crowd that ranged from fashion journalists to media moguls, as well as some of the country’s top designers, stylists, writers, actors and entertainers.

Since this was NKPR’s crystal anniversary, the agency partnered with Swarovski to create a striking crystal tree at the entrance. Once guests arrived at the party, they could also sign a large canvas that said “Love is…” and welcomed everyone to write their personal definition of the word.

Other activities throughout the night included an interactive photobooth where guests could wear various Swarovski accessories and strike their best pose, as well as a room where they could preview Swarovski’s latest collection or add their initials to any of their own accessories in Swarovski crystals. There were also several food and drink stations with various gourmet options, a huge dessert section and McDonald’s snacks that were being passed around until late.

Later in the evening, there was a surprise performance for Koifman by Haitian singer and guitarist Paul Beaubrun. Koifman is a Canadian Chair of the Board at Artists for Peace and Justice — a charity founded by Paul Haggis that supports education in Haiti — and so this country has a very special place in her heart.

NKPR has supported APJ since it was founded in 2009, helping to raise over $30 million, which assisted in building the first free public high school in Port-au-Prince. Later that evening, APJ’s team further surprised Koifman with a special video that included messages from APJ supporters and volunteers, as well as dozens of students who were all saying: “Thank you, Natasha!” The video made many guests tear up.

Here are some of our favourite photos from the event, including highlights from the evening and the best outfits of the night.
